A variety of cyclodextrin-based molecular structures, with substitutions of either primary or secondary faces of the natural oligosaccharide macrocycles of α-, β-, or γ-cyclodextrins, have been designed towards innovative applications of self-assembled cyclodextrin nanomaterials. Amphiphilic cyclodextrins have been obtained by chemical or enzymatic modifications of their macrocycles using phosp...

In the present work, the interaction of three water soluble porphyrins, tetra (p-trimethyle) ammoniumphenyl porphyrin iodide (TAPP) as a cationic porphyrin, tetra sodium meso-tetrakis (p-sulphonatophenyle) porphyrin (TSPP) as an anionic porphyrin and manganese tetrakis (p-sulphonato phenyl)porphinato acetate (MnTSPP) as a metal porphyrin, with DNA have been studied by isothermaltitration microc...
متن کاملMicellar and vesicular nanoassemblies of triazole-based amphiphilic probes triggered by mercury(II) ions in a 100% aqueous medium.
ABA-type amphiphiles bearing a triazole-based aromatic block were easily synthesized using click chemistry, which act as fluorescent turn-off Hg(2+)-chemoprobes in an aqueous solution. Interestingly, the metal-binding process of amphiphiles induced nanoassemblies even below the CMCs, and the binding stoichiometry affected the morphologies of the resultant nanostructures.

Porophyrins and their metal derivatives are strong DNA binders with association constant of to . Some of these compounds have been used for the radiations sensitization therapy of cancer and are targeted to interact with cellular DNA. Binding of porphyrins to DNA changes the expectral and other physic chemical characteristic of porphyrins, The mode of binding can be extracted from inspection ...
متن کاملGraphical Abstract Cellular confocal fluorescence distribution of the Tat peptide-tetraphenyl porphyrin conjugate and its photo-induced redistribution in HN5 carcinoma cells
Photochemical internalisation (PCI) is a site-specific technique for improving cellular delivery of macromolecular drugs. In this study, a cell penetrating peptide, containing the core HIV-1 Tat 48 57 sequence, conjugated with a porphyrin photosensitiser has been shown to be effective for PCI. Herein we report an investigation of the photophysical and photobiological properties of a water solu...
